been named off the harbaugh brothers, john and jim. they have been friendly rivals and they've been not-so-friendly rivals almost from the day these two were born. and they held a joint news conference in new orleans. this was really much anticipated. it happened just a short while ago. they were asked the improbable question if either one would ever consider working for the other brother. >> i would love to work for jim. we almost made it happen at stanford at one time. and it'd be an honor to have him on the staff, great coach. you always try to get great coaches and none better than jim harbaugh. and i mean that seriously. no better coach in the national football league than this guy sitting right here. >> oh, as the mother of two boys who are also just months apart, that's how i want mine to grow up. of course, no brother -- one of them, one of the brothers is going to go down in defeat on sunday and they were asked what that could be like. >> it's not really about how we're going to feel. every coach, every player in the organization, when you win, everybody is -- it's a jubilation

coaching brothers jim and john harbaugh. i want to bring in bleacher report national lead writer dan leavy. welcome. i know you wrote an article about the super bowl prop bets to avoid this year. give me your top three to avoid. >> i love prop bets. here's -- the first one i would avoid is the coin toss. everybody loves to bet the coin toss. i hate it. one, the money isn't even. you have to pay more than you'll get. and it is 50/50. if you lose the coin toss, i think it puts a bad taste in your mouth for the entire rest of the game. i hate that. i've bet heads, always bet heads, it ends up tails, it ruins the whole super bowl. >> what else? >> the other one, the coach's challenge, phenomenal, you can bet on whether the first challenge of the game will be overturned or upheld. i wouldn't bet this if i saw the play that they were going to challenge. i still would have no idea what the ref was going to do. to bet that inne ed advance, i you have a problem. and then the third one, beyonce. you can bet whether her hair will be straight or crimped, what color shirt she's going to wear.

harbaugh is the coach of the ravens. >> he met with the ravens spokesman yesterday morning and issued a statement saying they stand behind everything that he says. they are backing up basically whatever ray lewis says. >> i want to touch on the other issue as well. this is a story that has dogged him for years. the murder from 2000, double murder he was embroiled in. he was asked about that yesterday. he was quite emphatic about his response. some people call him reverend ray. they say he's the story of redemption. carol costello did a terrific story about that in her earlier hours here on cnn. is he ever going to be able to leave what happened in atlanta at super bowl 2000 or does he say he lives with this every day and will continue to live with it every day until he dies? >> in a sense i think he's left it behind already. he moved on. he had one of the greatest careers of any linebacker in nfl history. i understand that my report and the murder allegations are getting a lot of interest this week but 99% of the time for people that follow the sporting press, it idolizes ray l

parents have a press conference scheduled. that's how big the harbaugh story is. jim's 49ers arrived on sunday, as we did. they were right in the middle of mardi gras. these were the scenes all weekend long here in new orleans. you had parades, floats, beads being tossed, drinking. regular saturday and sunday here in new orleans. new orleans having the super bowl and mardi gras, they would have it no other way. >> super bowl next weekend, we can't wait. it will be a great time in the city. everybody will be having a lot of fun. >> nfl, we're excited the super bowl is here. can't wait. ta's going to be a great thing for the city. >> the city is electric right now. between, you know, mardi gras, the super bowl, mardi gras had to be pushed up a week. we've got pretty much an entire month of partying, which we're used to. new orleanians can handle it. >> if you think there's a break in the action, there actually will be this week. all those parades have unfolded over the weekend. we'll take a break this week, let the super bowl play out and they'll get started again after the super bowl. >>
